Forest Protection Camp Open after Long Winter

The ERW are gearing up this summer to stand against the next cut block happening this September in the Clack Creek watershed. Over the past year, there have been increasing objections from individuals, communities and non-profit organizations to preserve eco-systems in the forested area above Robert’s Creek. Following a successful demonstration to save the Twist and Shout Forest the ERW will be present this year to show opposition to further logging operations.

Stop Old-Growth Logging

Without a presence over the winter, many camp structures are damaged and in need of repair. We are looking for individuals from all backgrounds to visit the camp and assist with a variety of tasks. Getting set up during the spring will allow us to accommodate more people as the deadline for the cut block approaches at the end of summer.

Please visit our Get Involved page if you’d like to contribute to our projects.
